There is no Winter in Belize, only two seasons – The Rainy Season and the Dry Season. It’s sunny and hot throughout most of the year, except for when the cold fronts start coming down from the northern hemisphere. That’s when it can get down to a BLISTERING 75°F! Yes! It is that cold, well for us Belizeans who are not used to the chilly climate and pull out our sweaters at the first sight that the thermometer drops below 80°F. We try to emulate winter with icicle lights decorating our front porches, frosting our windows, baking Christmas cookies and building ‘snowmen’ out of sand on the beaches. But as you travel inland, Belizeans get more creative with the resources at hand.
Case in point, if you are traveling to the countryside of the Cayo District, keep a eye out for this COOL Winter Art made out of hay. Running W Brand Meats gets creative and brings in the holiday seasaon with hay figures that are different every year. Take a memorable picture of your travels in Belize at The San Ignacio Resort Hotel’s family ranch located by Mile 63 on the George Price Highway. We will never get snow in Belize, but we can surely have fun as we would have. A+ for improvisation and creativity! Follow Running W Meats on Facebook!
