I could not believe that I had never traveled to experience the Belize City Carnival Parade that takes place during the country’s September Celebrations. Even when I lived in the city during my college days, I found myself coming back to Ambergris Caye to celebrate Independence Day at home.
I had seen all the images and videos of the Carnival Parade, but had never made the time to make it to the city. Well, I was so glad that I finally made it to Carnival this year. Although I was there with cameras on hand to document the festivities for iTravel Belize, it was still a blast.
But when is my work not a blast!? It Always Is; Love My Job!
I was not on the sidelines like everybody else, but weaving through the hundreds of raving participants who were dancing, laughing, jumping and celebrating Belize. What an exhilarating and fun experience. I have always LOVED the month of September for all the patriotic events and covering the parade up close and personal like I do makes me appreciate it even more. Now I have another event to add to my list during Belize’s September Celebrations.
I hear that the parade in Orange Walk is just as great; that will be one to experience next year! Below are some of my favorite captures, but you can see my the entire gallery by clicking the following link:
