Indulge in succulent Belizean cuisines at the 2016 Taste of Belize on July 9th 2016, on the grounds of the Orange Walk District’s Muffles College Auditorium!
As a diverse country, Belize offers a wealth of foodie-appeal, from delectable ancient Maya flavors to the cultural spices of the Garifuna and Mestizos! This signature Belize Tourism Board (BTB) event is the ultimate venue, featuring different culinary competitions, such as the Belize Master Chef and Amateur Cook. Other Competitions include Bartender of the Year, Cup Cake Decorating and Cake Decorating Competition. The BTB is excited to celebrate the creativeness of Belize’s food industry and we invite you to savor the flavors of Belize during this day and night event!

A Starry Night Cocktail Holiday Party Supporting SHINE Ministry @ Hidden Treasure Restaurant

Join for A Starry Night, a cocktail holiday party supporting SHINE ministry! S.H.I.N.E. stands for Shaping Healthy Identities through Nurturing & Empowerment, encouraging young people and women in the community by provide resources for them to become who they are meant to be, and ultimately shine! Proceeds from this event will go toward the SHINE program for girls, Thrive – a high school empowerment program at San Pedro High School, and the SHINE Artisan Project which will help give business skills and opportunity to women.

Please bring your numbered tag, provided when you purchase your ticket, as your entry into the event including fancy hors d’oeuvres and holiday drink specials.

TIDE Fish Festival – October

The TIDE Fish Fest Weekend is an annual event that occurs in Punta Gorda Town, Toledo District on the Pan American holiday weekend in October. It is a weekend of raising awareness about environmental issues as well as being a celebration of our environment and natural resources. It consists of three parts – the Seafood Gala, the Youth Conservation Competition and the Fish Festival.

The Seafood Gala is an event that involves tasting fresh seafood caught from the Port Honduras Marine Reserve whilst enjoying local cultural entertainment.

The Youth Conservation Competition encourages young people to compete for associate degree scholarships by making stage presentations on environmental themes. It is open to both final year high school students and participants from non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The Festival is organized by the Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE). More updates and schedule of events coming soon!
