Last year I went to New York for Christmas and it was a lot different than what I’m used to in Belize. It was really cold, there was so much traffic, huge buildings and so many pretty lights at night. I was hoping to see snow while I was there, but maybe next time. It was a really fun trip, but today I want to talk to you about Christmas in Belize.
This Christmas I stayed home and we started the day with presents and family brunch, pretty much like many families do. The fun started when it was time to leave the house. Instead of putting on boots and a bunch of other clothes, we just put on our flip-flops, grabbed the beach towels, got on the boat and head to the beach.
There is no snow on our little island, but we didn’t let that stop us, we built a little man out of sand instead. My favorite part about our family picnic was making s’mores and of course eating them.
I guess it doesn’t matter where you spend Christmas as long as you’re with people you love. That is how we spend our on my little island. So, where did you spend Christmas, how and with who? Tell me in the comments!
