This is a blog that I have been wanting to write for a long time, but I felt like it was missing something. Something like PIZZA! The Truck Stop is an amazing kid friendly place up north here on Ambergris Caye. It has lots of yummy food and fun activities like corn hole, horse shoes, giant Jenga and they even have family friendly movies on Friday nights.
The best part is that we don’t even have to go somewhere else to eat, it’s all there! They have “food trucks” which are just shipping containers with kitchens in them. Cool! They have wings, cheesy fries & ice-cream! Gluten free? They can hook that up too! I know cause my grandma is allergic to gluten and she can’t eat just anywhere.
Here’s the yummiest part of this experience… you ready? PIZZA!!! They recently added a new “food truck”. Its called “A Slice Of Haven” They have so many different toppings like, mash potato and bacon pizza, conch pizza, and of course the classic pepperoni and cheese pizza. We got a chance to talk to the chef and learn some cool stuff. He said that in New Haven they say “Fresh Muzz” instead of “Motzerella”. They make thin crust pizza and it cooks super fast in this really fancy brick oven; I think it gets as hot as 600 degrees . Seriously, I timed it at like three minutes!
Umm … Like pizza and ice-cream in the same lot, that’s cool beans! You have to go check it out and don’t be lame… take your kids too! Tell Ben I sent you… maybe I’ll get a free slice out of it. Ha!!!
